J. Peter Landis, Esquire

Attorney J. Peter Landis is a graduate of Villanova University and Villanova University School of Law. Following his graduation from Villanova School of Law in 1980, Pete served as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas J. Eshelman of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas until 1983.

Since 1983, Pete has been continuously in private practice in Berks County and concentrates his practice on the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, labor relations and domestic relations matters, including divorce, custody and support cases.

Pete is admitted to practice before the courts of Pennsylvania and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Tax Court.

He has offered representation to clients throughout eastern Pennsylvania in a wide variety of proceedings and tribunals. This includes hearings before magisterial district courts, hearings and trials before the Courts of Common Pleas, master’s hearings in divorce, custody and support proceedings, hearings before workers’ compensation judges and unemployment compensation referees as well as proceedings before the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board, the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Board of Review, the Pennsylvania Civil Service Commission and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

Pete has also represented clients at all levels of the Pennsylvania appellate courts, including appearances before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He is currently a member of the Berks County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association and has been the solicitor for the Berks County Coroner’s Office from February of 2012 to the present.

Mary C. Favinger, Esquire

For over 25 years Mary C. Favinger has practiced law in Berks County and the surrounding counties. Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1982 and the Pennsylvania Bar in 1983, she has also been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Supreme Court. Mary graduated from the Pennsylvania State University and Western New England University School of Law. She commenced her legal career in Milford, Pike County, Pennsylvania as an associate with Attorney John J. Snyder, practicing in the areas of real estate and family law from 1982 until 1984.

She was a staff attorney with Northeastern Legal Services in Lackawanna County representing juveniles in dependency and delinquency proceedings until 1987, when she returned to Pike County and practiced as a sole practitioner until 1988. Upon relocating to Berks County in 1988, Mary accepted a position with the Berks County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney, where she handled trials and prosecution of drug offenses.

While in the Berks County District Attorney’s Office, Mary also participated in educational training of law enforcement. In 1992, Mary left the Berks County District Attorney’s Office to become an associate in the law firm of Hracho & Landis. She has concentrated her practice in the areas of divorce and family law and has continued to practice criminal law defense for adults and juveniles, drug forfeiture defense work and driver licensing matters. Mary is also a court appointed attorney representing parents of adjudicated dependent children.

Mary has represented clients in both civil and criminal matters before magisterial district courts, hearings and trials before the Courts of Common Pleas, master's hearing in divorce, custody and support proceedings, hearings before administrative law judges/masters for the Department of Transportation, the Department of Public Welfare and the Department of Insurance. She has also represented clients before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Since 2009, Mary has been a partner with the firm. She is currently a member of the Berks County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
